Sport flying is probably the most popular part of the hobby. The low wing models (or biplanes) are fully capable of most aerobatic manoeuvres while also honing overall flying skills (they fly and land a little faster than the trainers we learn to fly on).

Roger and Justin are great examples of sport flyers. Both have been flying about a year, have flown through the 'nervous nellies and high risk' period immediately after passing their Solo rating, and can now be seen putting their models through their paces most Sundays -- and as credit to them the observing crowd can usually work out the manoeuvre they were trying to do. Hang in their guys!
