10th respectively in a very competitive and close Expert
competition. There were no entries in other categories.

Every now and then Aerobatic competitions test the patience of competitors.
Here is the Geelong field at the March 2003 competition, with models and
competitiors sheltering. The windsock goes almost horizontal in a 20 knot
wind (and despite this kind of impediment, we flew 4 full rounds across the
Saturday and Sunday). Note the built in model restraints that GMAA use (as
do Ballarat!) |
