Flying field is for DAC members and sponsored guests ONLY.

General public are welcome to spectate and ask questions.

The Club's flying field is located in Melbourne (Australia) at Bulleen Park, off Bulleen Rd, Bulleen, Victoria, 3105.

           4km Radius.  Clearance required from DAC field (MOP008) of any radiating radio control model frequencies.

             Therefore no flying or operating of RC model frequencies shall take place within 4km zone.

When we fly

The field is available for DAC members ONLY for flying and subject to the following conditions (also refer to Club Rules):

  • Most electric and glider flying is done on Wednesday afternoons, Friday afternoons and Saturday afternoons; on Sunday's electric planes are typically flown in the breaks between the Internal Combustion (IC) flying times (set out below).

  • Internal Combustion powered flying at Bulleen is controlled by the Manningham City Council Local Laws.  Flying of these models is only allowed:

    • On Wednesdays:

      • Between: 1:00-2:30pm;  2:45-4:15pm;  4:30-5:30pm; and

      • Only with Club endorsement for Wednesday flying.

    • On Sundays:

      • When daylight saving is not in force between:  11:45-1:15pm;  1:30-3:00pm;  3:15-5:30pm.

      • When daylight saving is in force between  'as above' plus 10:00-11:30am;  5:00-6:30pm.

    • And at both sets of times, only when the model operates within Club approved noise limits.
